How did I get to this?
I finally decided to take my hair into my own hands! I’m tired of being at the mercy of a stylist. The purpose of this blog is to document my experiences, triumphs, and pitfalls in my personal hairgrowth challenges. There are a lot of websites out there for African American women and so many of them promote natural hair growth. I believe that although natural hair is beautiful, I should be able to grow my hair with my relaxer. Please join me on this journey!!!

i agree many of the natural hair growth web sites I’ve been to juge those who press or relax their hair. I have very thin hair due to color and to many perms so now I grow my hair out with a press. Not to say natural is wronge but, just the same a press or relaxer is fine too. Every one has thier own personal preferences, we all just have to accept each other.

how can i grow my hair natural and healthy, i use to have nice thick curl hair, well its still is thick. all the chemical i use in my hair

You’ll need to make sure your hair and scalp are clean and that you stay away from products containing petrolatum and mineral oil. I would suggest looking at sites like napturality.com to get styling tips and info on what products you should use.

i see your hair is long. you arent telling us steps of how you got it like this. so i was wondering how? i currently jus took my hair weave out and come to find that the hair that was braided in the weave was way longer than the hair left out from the weave. ive been wearing weave since i was in 4th grade. im in 9th grade now, taking out my weave actually boosted my confidence dispite the shortness of my hair, but i want longer.. so i want to know how can i grow african american hair. i have pictures of my hair lenght now. its to my shoulders. Please read the rest of the posted articles on the rest of my blog, I am sure most of your questions will be answered. Especially my article on how to get started. I listed the exact steps i used to create my regimen, decide on products etc. If you want detailed regimen info, its posted on my photo album. Hope that helps you.
